Is there anyone that knows of a free video editing software, for windows, that can output 1080p and can edit mp4 files with multiple audio tracks?

i have looked around a little, but so far i have only found paid editing software that can.

xNop - Youtube actually has a free video editor that you might want to check out.
Go to My Channel > Video Manager > Create (left column) > Video Editor

I've heard it's pretty decent for a free video editor.

Also, might want to check out Wondershare.

However, for like $20 a month you could use Adobe Premiere via Creative Cloud. And the difference between Premiere and a free editor is like night and day.

I guess it depends on what you want to do.

Hello there,

The recording software that I use myself for multiple audio tracks is called (OBS Studio) also known as (Open Broadcaster Software Studio). It can record at 1080p 60fps. And if you have a Nvidia GTX GPU that has the little build in chip to record gameplays with Shadowplay you can also use that in the OBS Studio software to record with, so you will not stress your processor to much while recording. In case you don't know the encoder setting, its called 'NVENC H. 264'

I use that together with another software called (Voicemeeter Banana) to manage my voice and sound channels. Both programs are free to use.

I hope I helped you out with this :thumbsup2:

It's going to be difficult to find something that's free. Youtube is an investment, just like almost any hobby, even though this one can be rather expensive, even down to the software being used. You may not find a decent, completely free program, as most video editors that can output that kind of quality are made by people who want to get paid for that kind of service. I use d3dgear for the actual game footage, OBS for the webcam (OBS takes up too much CPU for me, so I just assign it the webcam and same recording hotkey as d3dgear), and NCH VideoPad Editor for editing. Overall, that's about $95 (granted you don't get illegal versions).

I can say, though, that with NCH being a 30 day free trial, then $60 for literally everything you'll ever need, it's one hell of a deal compared to the other $900 programs that do the same thing. If you can muster up at least that, you'll be set for life.

If you need an example of what all this can do, feel free to take a look at my latest tomb raider video. It's full HD, runs smoothly, and the editing is barely noticeable except for the end screen. :D
