Editing help: Street Fighter style healthbar?

Hello,

Does anyone know how to create a street fighter health bar? I have been searching and cannot find a way.

It would really help, since my channel is a martial arts/comedy channel.

Hmm since I have no experience with animation or flash, and I use Sony Vegas, I would do it with the clip tool. Post an overlay image of the health bar. Have it pan/crop over the clip to make it shrink in size.

I use sony vegas 12 to edit most my videos. So i use "clip tool" and keep overlaying the image?

What software are you using?
In after effects that would just be a mask, then keying the position to move it to the left (or right) and siding it down so it looks like the health is going down

What block said... Wouldn't take long to animate. Especially if you had the graphics knocked up already.

Would it work if i edit the footage in sony vegas, then put in the "health bar effects" in adobe after effects? Would that be good?

You can create the animation then export as a codec that supports transparency (as you will need to overlay it). Unfortunately I'm not a Vegas user. Maybe blocks can fill you in.

Vegas you can clip tool and have it shrink over time as well.
