Earnings fair or low?

Atm I have had 47.5k views over the last 28 days and with those views I made $12.02, I know it relies on ad views etc but is this a some what fair number or is this rather low? And how can I improve it? Atm most of my videos are less than 10 minutes without commentaries, does this affect my CPM? Any help is great.

Maybe I should note I have a gaming channel.

Check your analytics and check your demographics. English countries tend to pay more. Other countries are not sadly.
 
But overal, the payment itself, low or decent?

Russia huh, still scared of them since most of the botters' views came from them most of the time, so becareful with that.

Don't worry, there's a very simple reason most are from Russian. My channel is mainly based on a shooter game developed by Russians and most competitive gamers are Russian in the game.

Then you do not have to worry about it.:) Would be awesome if you can get more US viewers though
 
i never trust this cpm country anymore. my views are all mainly from the top cpm countries as you guys stated, still getting $6 playback cpm daily...
 
There's multiple things that can affect earnings/CPM on YouTube ;
Viewership location
Demographics (ages 34+ don't pay as well)
Demographics (male pays lower than female)
Average Watch time
Short videos (videos under 1-2 minutes are unlikely to get high-paying trueview advertising, under 30 seconds and they won't show at all)
Devices (Mobile, Tablet, Console & TV is still far behind on the amount of playbacks/ impressions being bought)
Ad blockers
