During a third party claim dispute on music, is revenue still generated?

I hope someone is an expert on this one. I am always dealing with third party claims on my videos, I use a lot of music from various stock agencies, and I have proper paid licenses so they are eventually released.

I never really check, but do ads still run on the videos during a dispute? A company made an invalid claim against some of my biggest videos, which de-monetized them for a few days. They responded with:

"When claims are disputed, all royalties from
monetized views are held in escrow and delivered to the
appropriate party once resolved. In this case, earnings from
accrued views on your videos will be payed out to you by
YouTube at an indeterminate time."

I've never noticed getting re-compensated for lost revenue during a dispute. Is this true?

I believe one of two things happen during a dispute;
The ads are still up, and YouTube holds the revenue. After the dispute, YouTube gives whoever wins the money.

OR

The ads are taken down until after the dispute.

As for getting re-compensated, YouTube would credit the revenue to your channel, but NOT put it into your Adsense account until "before the 15th"

I apologize if my reply is misleading. I'm not a big expert on copyright claims.

Thanks, I found out the info I needed. Ad revenue is NOT generated and there is generally no compensation. In this situation, since the third party claimant was in gross error, they will be compensating me directly for the 3 days they had claimed it and for the revenue I lost. Sometimes you have to go after them because some of these are invalid claims. It represented a lot of $$ for us because they were on 3-4 videos that were generated will over $150 per day.

Ah, thanks for letting me know!
Glad to hear you got compensated.

That's awesome that those videos are getting a lot more than $150!

I appreciate the information - as I do Gaming videos, I can't help but foresee copyright claims...

Anyway, glad you got that sorted! :D
