DSLR Cameras / Buying Guide / Sweet Spot

M3 is definitely a good choice but It all depends on what you can see yourself doing in the future. When kind of camera can you see yourself using in 2-3 years? Is it a DSLR, mirror-less or even a camcorder. If it's a DSLR it's best to get a DSLR now. You will be able to transfer all your lenses and you will be more familiar with how to use it.
If it's anything else then your current purchase shouldn't have to much of an impact on your future setup.

What do you think about my t3i/t4i suggestion? it doesn't have a flip out screen but other than that it can be a good choice in your situation.

Haha, well truth be told - it might just be a setup for 1 year (long story short, friends company is setting up a video space akin to a YouTube space with top of the line equipment in 2016.

ANd I do like the t3i/t4i suggestion - I think if I go that route I'd buy used, and am looking online now. [DOUBLEPOST=1450073872,1450032191][/DOUBLEPOST]So just to give a crazy, crazy update - I'm now considering the Lumix FZ300... it might meet exactly what I need in a crossover device that can do what I need in a studio at home and what I'd need for travel/vlogging purposes. It's price point is great, it shoots 4K, splash proof, low light is quality, touch screen, flip out screen, has WiFi/NFC, and even includes an external mic.... I think for me, right now this makes the most sense and hell - shooting 4K and knocking it down to 1080p is ideal!

I personally use a nikon d3200 and I love it! Although reading your needs for 60fps at 1080p then perhaps the d3300 or d3300 I'd found in the right place, the 3300 is super cheap, the lenses for it are relatively Cheap too, I brought a nifty fifty and it's brilliant, although I wished I had spent £30 more and got the 35mm lens for a wider FOV.
Admittedly, it doesn't have a pop out screen, and I would not bother with the WiFi dongle for it is useless with video recording, I'd suggest a 1080p external monitor anyway, so it's much easier to see if your in s**t and focused up.

I will say I don't have much experience with other Camera bodies, but all the research I did pointed to that for the best "bang for the buck"
