Draw My Life Thoughts?

So I was thinking of finally taking on the challenge of a Draw My Life video when I hit 10,000 subscribers next month. I wanted to know how people felt about those videos though. Do they help you connect more with your favorite YouTuber? Do you think it's too much personal information to be telling the world? Is it too over-done? Let me know! :)

Haha :3 Well I think u should do it :3 I had someone suggest it to me .... I thought maybeeeeee not :P I think if u make it comedic like u normally do and don't go into too much detail so u don't feel uncomfortable could be nice to let ppl know a lil bit more ^_^? Hope you are well :D <3

Hey!! Long time no talk! Yeah, I would definitely try to throw in some comedy in it as that's what my channel is about. :) There is a lot of sad things that have happened in my life though, so I'd have to try and balance it out. I also don't know if I should hand draw each photo or digitally draw each photo. I've seen people do both. Preference? haha.

Oh I know what u mean :O! Hmmm I like the hand drawn ones personally :P because I think watching them draw whether it be good or bad is interesting ^_^ But I just like art haha :P. But I think either will be great :D.
 
I personally only like them if by telling your life story actually benefits your audience, a lot of people who do the videos i couldnt care less about. Most draw my life videos are exactly the same, another young white person whos lived a normal life and done normal things. At the end of them videos i just think 'and what was the point in you telling me that ?'

Then theres people like boogie whos draw my life actually explained a lot about how he is the way he is and actually gave his viewers a good insight into how his life actually changed him.

Or it might just be that i can't relate to normal people and normal lives which is why i cant stand 90% of draw my life videos.

If you are going to do it though you will have to pretty much go balls to the wall and lay everything on the table and tell everyone everything you have actually been through in life. Some people will find that easier then others.
 
I like them if they are done with a good sense of humor which you have.. Please don't do a glum one where you tell us how horrible you had it growing up.. that is just depressing.
 
I think they get the audience to know the youtuber more. like when sam pepper did it first, i actually didn't know the issuses that he had gone through his life like leaving his home when he was only 16 which is sad.

I had always thought about making one but there are so much hate and anger and bad thing that ive been through my life that i don't know where to start and i don't want to upset anyone in my real life and the story of my life just upsets me and I think that i should just move on and not think about the awful things that happened. so i keep things personal with me. i know it can connect and bring in more intrest but i don't want to do a draw my life thing. it's too dipressing for me.

You should definitely check some out, mah G. They're mad dope.

So yeah, I think they're really cool. I don't feel personally that something like DML could be overdone. It's so unique to everyone, it's super cool.

None of the people I watch do them so I'm not exactly too interested in seeing someone I don't know.
