DoubleU Gaming - New Channel

Hi Guys,

My name is William and i run DoubleU Gaming. I'm fairly new to creating videos and posting them to YouTube so any advice is welcome.

I just completed my first video, which you can view here -
. My problem is that when i'm recording, everything is fine, but when i look at the footage i have recorded, the game seems very laggy, which isn't the case when i'm recording. I did think it's maybe to do with my graphics card but surely the laggy-ness would happen whilst recording aswell?

Anyway, if anyone has any ideas i would be very grateful, also, if anyone has any advice for a newbie, it would be much appreciated!

Cheers,
William

It really is laggy. What kind of software are You using to edit Your videos? Always remember to encode Your videos with the same settings as You recorded them. For example if You are recording Your gameplay in 1080p 60fps then encode it also in 1080p 60fps. As for the bitrate I'm getting the best results when I encode my videos with Variable Bit Rate (2-pass) @ 20 Mbit.

It was recorded with Open Broadcaster and i just clipped the footage with Windows movie maker. I know it's not the best editor but because i was just clipping it i didn't search for a better free alternative. Thanks for the help!
