Don't promote with Facebook Groups

Hey, I'm new here and though I haven't succeeded yet, I can tell you what's not gonna work for your videos.

I spent days looking for facebook music groups with thousands of members, seduced by the idea of getting thousands of views with a little more than 75 posts. The truth is, I spent an hour everytime I uploaded a video to get about 100-150 views - totally not worth my time.

Only 0.1% of the posts on groups go viral. That’s when a post is shared by the group members and generates more than 500 clicks. The truth is a very small percentage of users will regularly visit a group, as Facebook doesn’t send regular notifications (unless they have posted there before). For it to be seen by every single member of the group, the post would have to make it to that 0.1%

Most of those groups are dead now - or not looking for you, so don't bother.

What negative experience YOU had?

I used to post on fb groups, but I rarely got any views, or else I get a DISLIKE for promoting on FB!
So I stopped promoting on FB! People are so mean!

100 views per hour promoting on Facebook is something I would sign for!

Where can I sign?

Promoting takes work. I agree with some of your criticism about the way the facebook algorithms have been displaying things for the past couple of years. But a view is a view when you want to grow your channel. I think that facebook and reddit can be useful tools, but like with any tools you will get the most out of it if you know how to properly use the tools.

Posting to any big subreddit on Reddit is highly not recommended. Lots of terrible assholes on there.
Reddit, for example, especially the larger subs do not take to self-promotion very well. Especially if you appear to be using their community for your gain alone. Reddit is really all about the community. It's not an advertising space. You really need to build a rapport with people there before promoting, and that takes work. And to get the most out of it, you need to make sure that what you are promoting adds to the conversation of the subreddit, and isn't shameless.

I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one. I've posted every single one of my videos in the appropriate subreddit and I've gotten THOUSANDS of views from it (I've attached a screen)

I think if you're careful, and make sure you're posting where you should be, people can be very receptive to what you're posting. I've had a few of my videos hit the front pages of the subreddits i've posted in, and so far I've received 0 backlash.
