Does YouTube still support positioning and formatting in closed caption files (i.e. SCC)?

Hi all,
I've been trying to find a solution to this problem so hope someone can help urgently.

I'm trying to upload a video to YouTube with its accompanying SCC captions file,
after uploading, YouTube presents a message:
"This transcript may contain additional formatting that can get lost if overwritten."

The original SCC had vital formatting and positioning parameters and these were
lost as YouTube converted the SCC to a transcript instead of retaining the information.
I also tried using the EBU-stl format, but was greeted with the same outcome.

Can someone please confirm as soon as possible if YouTube still supports
positioning and formatting for SCC or any other supported caption format?

Thanks in advance,
MPEGIV

Yes they do. I dont know what SCC means but I guess that's the file type.

Youtube deals with 2 types of Closed Captions the automatic ones (the s****y ones that make no sense half the time) which has no bearing on search results at all.

Then there is where you can type your own as the video plays or upload a file.

Hi JohnnyFox,

SCC is Scenarist Closed Captions, I have been told that this and EBU-stl (*.stl) caption files are supported
by YouTube of their formatting and positioning. I know that other subtitle formats like "srt" and "sub"
are supported but their formatting/positioning is ignored by YouTube.
There are videos that got SCC working but I'm not sure if YouTube is still supporting formatting
and positioning in current SCC uploads, since it doesn't seem to be used widely.

EDIT: Don't worry, I got the SCC working after a restart.
