Does YouTube Gaming really help grow channels?

A lot of people have been telling me that when you're streaming on YouTube Gaming, it is really easy to grow your channel and get new subscribers while streaming. Is this true?
 
You can grow anywhere if your willing to put in the work, time and effort to put yourself out there. Don't depend on a programme or "thing" to make your channel grow.

Go out and do it yourself, yeah it helps but you won't grow until YOU decide to kick yourself into gear.

As for YouTube Gaming I haven't really looked into it much to know and I don;t know of any success stories just yet but if its an opening market by all means go at it full steam ahead.
 
Seriously? I've never ever streamed on my life before?!? I might try this out.. Only if my computer could handle such a thing :crying:
 
Now that I think of it, being extremely obvious here, its literally twitch but it's in YouTube, meaning you don't have to share your channel because it is your channel. It's all combined and neat. I'm sure its a way better way of getting subs. I shall try it sometime! Thanks for unintentionally reminding me :)
 
I hate to be that person but for now Twitch is Dominating YouTube Gaming. For 5 months, there has been no improvements to the site. I was excited to see how YouTube would make a twitch like steaming site, but from the UI to what YouTube Gaming actually is and is not. I hope they Improve it.
