Does your uploading location matter?

I have always wondered about this........... :)

I have found that most of my views come from the state and country (USA, California) that I upload from. Is this also true for your channel? Is it correct to assume that YouTube will suggest videos or show new uploads more readily to subscribers/viewers in your upload area?

If that is the case, if I uploaded videos from a different state or country, would that help with views in that location?

Any thoughts/ideas on this would be great... perhaps if you have moved to a different area during your YouTube career maybe you have/have not experienced this?

Thanks in advance :)

I'm not sure, but I think it depends on your content. The state I get most of my views from is California, but that's from my most viewed video. Most of the views for my second most viewed video come from New York. I live in New York City.

Seeing this, I think people from California watch a lot of YouTube. c:
I've only uploaded from UK and around Asia, never been to America yet BUT most of my views came from US and well, California is at the top of the list.
