Does uploading in .MP4 format better for faster upload?

I think there might be higher quality than .mp4 but for YouTube .mp4 is easily more than enough. It's perfect for file sizes and quality.

I use mp4 for most of my youtube uploads. The only way you are going to get a faster/quickery upload is to reduce the file size, or upgrade your internet.

What determines the upload speed of your video is the file size of the file you're uploading and the speed of your internet. Now as for processing YouTube generally processes Mp4 fairly quickly. As if you upload in another format, one that may not be set for online streaming, it will take longer to process. It all depends on what codec you're using and the render type. I use a non-stream-able file type so my processing takes a bit longer. But like I said at the start, upload time will be determined by the upload speed of your internet, and the file size of the initial file that you're trying to upload.
