Does this make sense?

If a YouTube video was to get popular, would it make sense that it would get more popular if it was posted on a Saturday, rather than a Monday? I'm thinking this could be true because typically on a Saturday it would get more views from your subscribers, thus making more exposure to more views in the future, rather than on a Monday where it gets like 3/4 of the views it would get on a Saturday. What do you all think?

Why do you think you'd get more views on a Saturday? From most of the people who have said things about when to post, weekdays work much better than weekends. I think people tend to do things outside of the house (and off of the computer) on weekends. Now, that is not set in stone, as everybody's subscriber base is slightly different than everybody else's, but in general, weekends tend to dip a bit, from what I've read and heard.

It might work. I usually do get a spike in views on a Saturday or Sunday (it changes every now and again; as observed from my analytics). I just uploaded a video a day ago and it seems to get more initial views than usual but it could just be the topic of the video, so can't say for sure.

I mean people have been talking about "the best day/time to upload" it really just depends on your viewers viewing habits.

Yes - it makes perfect sense. The more views and watch time you generate during the first 24-48 hours - the more "postive carma" you will accumulate.
"Positive carma" is good for the YouTube algorithm as it helps it decide to promote further or to hide from search result and recommended/suggested videos your video.
Of course sometimes best time is Saturday sometimes some other day.
It depends a lot of the type of your video, the country you are living in at so on.

Well as a viewer I watch a majority of my YouTube during the week while I'm at work. So after I get morning emails I check YouTube which is normally around 9:00 AM Arizona time. So if the people I'm subbed to do what I normally do and upload at night when I go to sleep, they'd likely be the first video I see in the morning. I don't really watch YouTube on the weekends.

I also tend to spend less time on the internet on weekends, because then im usually out with friends, etc. But maybe it depends on your specific audience as well. For some it may be the weekend and for others not. I think you should check the analytics for 2 weeks and then find out

I think it depends on your content on when your most viewed days will be. But you should try to identify who your target demographic is. If you have most viewers being 30-50. Then you know during the week mon-fri they are at work most likely. Weekends they are off.

Lets look at content.

Lets say the video was how to build a tree fort. It is more likely that term will be searched on a weekend as a weekend project.

Lets say the next video is Funny cats #6. This video is consumed most by people bored at work. And thus week days will be better performing.
