Does flagging videos actually work

I've Got It
I mean i've flagged alot of videos which clearly breach either YT ToS or community guidelines but nothing seems to be done about them. Anyone else had success in this

I remember one time I searched my old channel's name into YouTube and then I found out my video was re-uploaded on someone else's channel. I flagged that person, and the next day the video was taken down. Then a couple days after that, the channel itself was down, and it said I had helped in taking him down (it said I had made a claim against the channel, along with someone else). Re-uploads are the easiest videos to get taken down, so I'm sure the other videos might be borderline violations or maybe YouTube doesn't feel like looking over them.
But you know, just let Spam404 take them down, as they seem to like doing! XD
 
I've actually never flagged a video before so I can't really tell ya. However, I've had a channel taken down before because all I would do was upload HSM videos. I guess people didn't like HSM?? Haterz these dayz.
 
Yes it works. I occasionally have to report re-uploaders of my work and it generally goes through pretty quickly. I also have had to report inappropriate content.
 
It works as long as someone is wronging you in some way. If you are trying to flag on behalf of someone else it probably won't work.

dont let spam404 know you had a channel taken down since having a new one would technically be a breach of the ToS
 
LMAO... It's like Spam404 is some kind of evil government agency that everyone has to hide from. I'm loving every second of this.

I was always under the impression that YT didn't take flags seriously, but hey. I'm glad to hear that they do indeed work.
