For me facecam made it easier to record, because I wasn't so comfortable with speaking and felt nervous about not coming up with anything to say. So it actually made me more relaxed that I could at least allow people to see something of me even when I was quiet. It also made it easier to come up with stuff to say as I was more relaxed. I tend to be a bit quiet anyway, and facecam allows me to communicate with facial expressions etc.
