Does anyone make music videos using music video techniques?

LuiC

I sing and vlog stuff
In most music videos you see on music channels and internet (VEVO), they record the audio first and the band/singer/artist just lip sync to the song.
I'm asking if there's anyone doing the same thing in their videos?

I mean I tried it and it works fine, but I think a VideoSong (check out Pompaloose, they use this frequently, as everything you see is what you hear) is better. I can't make a VideoSong as I don't have the right equipment.

Just a discussion :)

All you really need for a vidoe song is something to record video and sound with it, it's more the person using the stuff rather than the equipment :)

Almost all of my videos are done that way :) I write a song and lip sync to it.

I always record the audio first and then play the song while I am filming then just basically lip sync to it. It makes it so much easier in editing in my opinion.

Ohhh yeah... Two or three days in a row, 16 or more hours a day the same song over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over...

I guess most of us are doing it (except for live performances). :) Especially if you're making a little music video for your song (like filming outside or recording multiple shots with one camera).
