Does anyone know how to make custom channel art?

I have been using screenshots as my channel art but now I want to make my own cool channel art. Dose anyone know any good software?

If you have the money for it, go with Photoshop. But if you're looking for something free, GIMP is really good.

Id say use the photoshop trial once you know what you want
that's if your looking for free
and there's alot of tutorials and step by step ways to make great art on there
