Does anyone else feel the same way?

So I'm feeling a little lost. I've uploaded a vlog the other day - I've received lots of comments on how great it is etc, some people have mentioned they like it better than my in-front-of-camera videos. But I prefer doing my structured talks and skits much more.

I really have no idea where to take my channel. Anyone else here felt lost in their YouTube journey and overcame that somehow? Is this a normal feeling of the creator journey? How many videos did you upload before you knew your direction?

I'm not exactly sure where I'm going with this, but let's see where the thread goes.

I have a couple of regular segments on my channel - the most popular one is the most time consuming for me. When I initially started it, I considered it the most cringe-worthy. Now, it's bread and butter. I can't upload more of those, at least until I become a full-time YouTuber.
Honestly, I would suggest both of vlogs and structured talks/skits. That way there's something for everyone (you and your audience). What you like doing is what will keep you going, and what your audience likes will make them stay. Give each of these series an unique name and separate them by playlists.

I think it´s normal.. I dont do vlogs but I´m taking my channel in a totally different direction than I thought it would go in the beginning:) And i actually hear this from a lot of Youtubers so I guess you could call it normal:)

Remember when you did your first video
You did it because you wanted to.
Trust me if you not sure what to put out, take a break.
Now I grant you the audience will tell you what they like to see
That will give you an idea of what to post.
But don't forget its still your channel.

Now I grant you my channel covers a wide range of topics
So I'm going to build my subscriber base a lot loser then most.
There are going to be videos some people like and some that they hate.
But its still my channel.

Your channel seems pretty new, so I'd say keep experimenting and do the types of things that will keep you making stuff, instead of listening to what the comments say. Audiences can be a bit fickle, sometimes, and if you change too much based on comments, you can wind up not liking your own content and it won't affect your analytics very much at all, which isn't good for anyone.

"I Was Told To Do A Channel Trailer"

From your teaser video you look to be self confident and with personality.
So stop asking others. You tell me (you):

"where do You want to forward your channel?"

No it is not a poor English mistaken word.
Whatever you do and upload is keeping forward.
Don't look for signs "this way", don't ask people.
It is You that have to take decisions!
:)
