Do you think I have a viral video?

Hello everyone!

Have been stumped by lightning videos going viral lately because I have a video of my own that I think tops them all. I filmed it myself and can be heard screaming in it lol. Do you guys think I have a viral video? If so what are some ways I can make it take off? I've tried reddit, twitter, facebook, but it doesn't seem like it wants to take off. =/

But honestly the video is ok and your views are not that bad for it either. Just keep producing videos and If the reddit community like them enough they'll make it to the front page.
 
Yeah man... I don't think it's viral material dude. It really is very awesome you happened to capture that, but I don't see people going "OMG this guy was filming and he thought lightning would strike this building and then it DID you guys HAVE to see this!!" It just doesn't have that effect on people, I'm like "whoa that was cool, and it's rad he captured it on film" but I'm not dying to share this on FB or anything, it didn't have THAT kind of impact.
 
Hey man, I'm not sure if you saw my latest post/advice about the video.
I've included it below :)

You've had a couple of viral hits on your channel, try posting the video on a few Facebook pages and say "Have you guys seen this yet, it's crazy! Please Share"

It takes about 20 seconds to type it all out, if that. You could easily do 20 pages or so a day without trying. All it takes is one page to share it. Also ask your friends to share the video on facebook. Facebook is a very handy tool for promotion. Try to submit it to sciencey pages or blogs too! :)

Try changing the name to "MAN CONTROLS LIGHTNING!" or "Supernatural man predicts lightning strikes"
Those sort of names are the videos that people will click if you see it on the related videos sidebar. Also think about the thumbnail, try pick one where the lightning is visible. Failing that, take a screen-cap of the video when lightning strikes and then upload that as a custom thumbnail.

(If you want to be really cheeky, you could put a small, non-intrusive "play" arrow on the centre of the thumbnail, naturally most people will instantly click that to start the video as they are used to doing that on other websites)

Thanks for all the input guys! See now I saw that fireball video today and couldn't believe how that exploded so quickly. I feel like i have a very similar video and in a way better cause I even predicted it on top of getting such a close shot. Trying to understand how her video got so popular so fast. The other mustang blowup video on the channel is footage my wife filmed. =D

I guess it's possible it could go viral, I'm not sure if that can be predicted really though. I would guess that for this to go viral you'd have to promote it, but hey, what do I know, I wouldn't have shared the fireball video either lol
 
Another thing that is absolutely crazy is the day I uploaded my video liveleak got a hold of it and it got 20,000 in 24 hours on their website! I contacted them to have it removed because it wasn't linking to my youtube. So I feel I really have a good video but don't understand why it's not blowing up =/

It even got featured on this show called Right This Minute hosted by ABC lol check out the description in the video. =P
