Do you keep your likes and subscriptions public or private?

What is your strategy regarding to the likes you give and channels you subscribed to? Do you make them public so everybody can see them or do you keep them private? I'm wondering in what ways it's beneficial when it would be visible. Probably you can position your channel better by showing what channels you subscribed to? And also that you are continuously active on YT? Other things? So what are your settings and why?

I'm a greedy f**k honestly. I keep that stuff private because if I want to promote somebody else i'll do it in my video itself.

I keep both public, but I don't allow my likes to appear in my feed because I pop a like to a lot of videos so I don't want it to A) crowd my viewers and B) push my uploads down the activity feed. Allowing people to see the videos I've liked and channels I'm subbed to, should help give them an idea of what I like and whether they can feel better connected to me, in doing so I feel it increases the chances of creating a better connection with supporters. If I was much bigger though, say around 100k+ subs with major growth, I'd start hiding the subs because even at my small level I get some messages along the lines of "Hey I see you like SeaNanners, I make videos similar to his I'm a blood sucking leech scum who doesn't give a s**t if you leave your inbox open for genuine supportersakjsdhasdkjhsadhkajdhsadkjhasdhkajs" and that kind of crap, so eventually I'll hide it. In terms of promotional stuff, I do feel annoyed that it can direct people away from my channel but what kind of person would I be if I was subscribed to someone I enjoyed and then tried to say people weren't allowed to watch their stuff?

Since I maintain a family-friendly channel, I keep my subscriptions private. I am careful what videos I like and share.

As for my ratings, there was a time where thumbs-down bothered me so I turned them off on my more popular videos. It wasn't very long where I decided 'screw it' and I let the ratings be public. As for stats, I have never hid any stats.

Paranoid as I am I keep my subscriptions and likes private. I can't see how it would be beneficial. One may argue that any activity in your feed it better than no activity but I guess it would just annoy my viewers.

I mostly just like and subscribe to gaming and guitar stuff. I have no problem with other people knowing what I like to watch on youtube.
