Do people watch longer on weekends?

Weekend Noobs

If the week gets you down then join us and unwind
Hi,

We are a weekend show focused on gaming and improvised comedy we are almost ready to go live. I'm worried that some of my videos may be a little long because they are close to 20mins however I am finding it hard to cut anymore out because there are just loads of funny moments in it.
Before I remove anymore or on future videos constrict myself to a shorter time say 10mins or so,
do people generally watch videos longer on weekends then they would during the week?

I can understand its a must have for shorter videos if they post during the week because everyone is generally busy or on the move etc. But on the weekend majority of people are either at home or doing something other than work.

The thing is even though you post it during the weekend, some people might watch it during the week. And also, YouTube works best for shorter videos, considering our generation has such a short attention spam.

I don't know.
I always get less views during the weekend, and more views during the middle of the week.

My watch times and view counts are always lower on the weekends. I don't know why. Maybe my content is better suited to distracting people at work? Maybe I should advertise my channel that way. :)

I watch more videos during the week (as I am procrastinating hahaha) but on the weekends I often go out all day so I understand when I get lower views on the weekends because people are on break and so don't really have to procrastinate as much :p

That's an interesting question, I guess that's the beauty of having a large channel, you can analyse what time of day you get your bulk views.

It all depends on what type of audience you have and there schedule, to me you can't really plan a time where no ones doing anything, that's the joy of having the video up all the time to everyone to see anytime lol :D

If it's just highlights and funny moments, I'd split the video up into 5-10min segments. Either way in regards to your question, it's dependant on the person. I think there's more people watching YouTube on the weekend but not necessarily people watching longer videos.

Well, most of my viewers are under 12 and into Minecraft.
I assume they watch videos after school, and are out with friends or stuff in the weekend.
