Do people want thought out content? (Gaming and Gamers)

I've Got It
Lately i have been making videos that talk about specific points and ideas in gaming. I try to explain the situation or idea and then give my input and thoughts. I have found little to no success doing this. Interaction is very very low with these videos and i was wondering if my stuff just simply isn't for youtube? If you came across a video that rather than playing a game or reporting news explained ideas and what not would you find it interesting in the slightest?
(the main point being, im trying to figure out whether its the content or the execution thats the problem with my own channel, but i think this question could make for some interesting discussion on its own.

THIS IDEA IS BRILLIANT! I will watch every second of this! This is something people rarely do thinking that it will backfire with people not liking the opinions of the YouTuber, so it's fantastic that you have come up with this!!

I really do think it depends on what you cover. For example, Game Theory is a pretty popular show on YouTube that is definitely thought-out and well edited, but they don't play the games. The thing is, those videos are made fun, with jokes or references tossed around all the time. They also have fun editing, with things sliding in and out of frame, and pictures sort of illustrating Matt's words. I checked out a couple of your videos, and you lack most of those things. For a majority of your videos, the screen is just black. Also, there really isn't a lot of jokes to be had, most of the video is just information and opinion. Try adding some more comedy or action to your videos, and sound a bit more energetic. Lastly, it'll take a while for your series to get popular, if it ever does. There is plenty of good content on YouTube that deserves millions of views but gets close to none. Sorry if I sounded like a d**k, i'm just trying to be as helpful as possible. To sum it all up, people do enjoy well thought out content, but you lack alot of the things that people enjoy in that content. Just improve on that and i'm sure your series will start to get more recognition!

I disagree, I think this guy is funny, especially in some parts of his Super Hero video. His editing is also pretty good for a small channel, and I have subbed immediately! Matt wasn't always as good at what he does. If you look back to The Game Theorists earlier vids, it took them a while to get to where they are now. I would love to collab with this guy sometime!

I didn't mean that he was never funny, or had bad editing, but in the videos I watched (Metacritic and Mechs) both of those things were lacking. Also, I know Matt isn't always great, but that was the first YouTube show that came to mind when thinking of original game related content.
