Do I need to make Ad units for my YouTube channel?

A few days ago I got approved for an Adsense account, and have been poking around setting it up, I noticed there was a page called 'My Ads' which is empty (in the beginning).

Do I need to manually set that up or does YouTube handle that side of things? Because I have no clue what to put on that page, the only thing I've monetising is my channel, and nothing else.

Is there a video I can watch that explains everything?

The my ads page doesn't have anything to do with youtube, it's for website ads, you create banner sizes to place on your website.
if you monetize youtube video's then youtube does it all for you, unless you have video's over 10 minutes long, then you can time stamp ads within your video.

So to manage video ads you go to edit that video in youtube and select the monetization tab, you will see the ad formats available and if the video is over 10 minutes you will see an ad breaks bar where you can place more ads within the video

Ah, ok, thank you.
