Do I need colour corection?

Gaming videos really do not require color grading/correction, but if you want to do so, it is not too hard. What editing program do you use? In most major editors, there is a tool called RGB Curves that should be all you need for a simple quick correction.

sony's movie studio 13.

I never used to use it really, but I would recommend using it if you learn do it correctly. (Hate to self promote...ok not really) In my latest video of "A Day At Work" I used color correction in the action scene close to the beginning of my video and then when I show off my work I color corrected the footage as well. I think it makes the quality just look so much more professional.

That is one of the few editors I have never worked with, but I am sure you can find a Youtube video on color correcting in it. If you ever want to do serious color correction though, you should get Adobe After Effects or Davinci Resolve.
but would you even say i need it???

ok thanks

For gaming videos, I would say that you don't need color correction. But if you wanted to or wanted to correct a non-gaming video, many different softwares allow for at least basic color correction.

Colour correction is not only useful for making videos true to life, you can play around with it to give you different effects. Very saturated, dream like, old fasioned, there are tons of looks you can achieve with colour correction.
