Do any of you use Lightworks editing software? Would any of you mind helping me?

I used to use windows movie maker and I hate it. I have downloaded Lightworks and it will not in anyway let me import? I have no idea what I have done wrong? I have uploaded the pictures of the two warnings that pop up the first is when I start it up and the second is when I try upload a file. Thanks guys it will mean a lot if you try to help!
