DIY Studio lighting?

Has anybody tried making their own studio lighting for your videos?
There must be some vloggers out there who's got some nice idea for a DIY solution. :)

So far, I have found some bulbs on amazon, a table lamp at my local hardware store and a white showercap to cover the lamp/light. It will cost me about 15-20 euro for a homemade 3 point lighting setup! :)

I don't really use big lighting. Like I use a lamp, my light from my room and another lamp in the corner....but usually thats it :)

That's a pretty good setup to start. I always use one or two lamps which I directly point on a white wall or something white, so the light smoothly reflects and brightens up my face.

You can also use paper-lamps from IKEA, they also give you a good light.

If you wanna be "semi-professional" there's a "softbox" on amazon that doesn't cost much.

and if you don't want to buy a softbox, get a bulb, tin foil tray and some paper/tracing paper (needs to be white paper, obvious).

make a hole in the middle of the foil, put the bulb through, sellotap the paper to each side of the foil tray (so it covers in the bulb but doesn't touch it), ta daaaaa

I would personally try and get a bulb that doesn't produce too much heat, otherwise turn it off every 10 minutes or so, so it can cool down.
