Disabling advert blockers?

AmberAndGolden

I Love YTtalk
How many of you disable the adblockers (if you have any) for youtube?
I was just curious, I have disables adblock for youtube since i got it, I think a few seconds waiting for an advert is worth the help the creator gets for your view..
How about you guys then?

It depends on the type of content i'm looking at, things like cat videos and people falling of things i will leave the block on, but other than that i turn it of unless i forget to.

Oooooh! I'm gonna try watching a YouTube video the next time I go to the Wi-Fi room, and see if it blocks the ads on videos. ^.^

At home I don't have any ad block. I'll say this, I'd turn it off for any member of YTtalk (and of course YTtalk itself).

It is really an issue of it what your going to watch worth the adds that are on it.

Youtube should find a way to disable adblock on their website. People would get p****d but eventually get over it and then watch the money pile up.

I never used ad block before, they don't bother me unless it's something like crunchy roll playing 2 unskippable ads in a row.

No people would get p****d and the click off rates would increase, either that or the skip rates would, especially with those 4-10min ads that pop up. Not to mention the people who abuse the ad system already so that would p**s even more people off. A much better option would be if YouTube allowed people to actually inform viewers of what adblocking does and how ads are meant to work on YouTube, since most of them are ignorant to it. Or have YouTube educate viewers with some videos of their own here and there that are targeted to viewers.

I have it turned off most of the time, only time I turn it on is if I want to listen to a music track or a few OR if I'm watching IGN. IGN have ads galore on their videos and purposesly release a lot of videos in 1 day just for money so when I have to catch up I don't want to sit there watching ads every vid I click on 1 after another + they're journalists. When I watch normal content creators I have it turned off.

Only the people who have been using Adblock in the first place would click off more, so in terms of ad revenue, that wouldn't be affected. In fact, if anything it will save bandwidth since people who get p****d enough to quit watching YouTube are the ones who Adblock in the first place. Unless I'm missing something here, it only seems to help YouTube in every way.

Idk what 4-10min ads you are talking about but I think disabling ad block would do way more good than harm. People would not click off if every single video has ads. They would eventually get use to it. People always get p****d when youtube changes something they are very familiar with and like but then what happens? The majority of people adapt and get over it. I would be 100 percent behind disabling adblock on youtube.

I've never really cared about the YouTube adverts. They're just part of the whole package.

4od on the other hand... those are infuriating.
