Developing video ideas (comedy)

I know there are so many threads relating to getting video ideas, but how about the next step?
Now of course as suggested by the title this is more of a comedy focus, so how do you help your jokes reach a good conclusion. The reason I ask is that most of the time I make funny vlog style videos I run out of things to talk about and can't reach that kind of really awesome sort of punchline.

Any tips, processes etc. on the subject of developing an idea?

Not that I make these kind of videos but work backwards. Start with a punchline & then build up to it.

I don't know, I just brainstorm and say whatever's on my mind. The most important thing is to be yourself, if you want to be that someone else then people will obviously watch that someone else. Hmmmmmmmm.....I guess once you come up with something you could ask friends/people for feedback.
