Deleted all my videos

Sorry if the reply seemed a bit terse. Deleting an entire channel worth of content IMO is always a mistake. First of all, YouTube will delete your views which drops your channel back to square 1. Second, old content is never as good as new content. Third... if people enjoy them, does it matter if they're not as good as you want them to be?

I can see deleting videos if you're doing informational stuff and the information is wrong. But just quality being not up to current par isn't a good reason.

And if you really want to take a video down, just make it unlisted or private.

I deleted a lot of my videos. One of my subscribers (this person usually comments on my videos), told me that they like my vlogs but they thought that my reviews (that's what I was doing before vlogs) rocked. This is interesting because I used to think that my reviews were awful and that's why I removed them. The point is that, it's rally hard to tell what others like and what others don't like. But I understand your point. You have to be happy about them.

The fact that you don't like your older videos is a good thing! That means you're progressing and have learned to make better quality videos from when you first started. You should be proud of that. Also, and most importantly, the way I see it, old videos are like casting a net into the vast ocean of YouTube - the more videos your channel actually has, the larger of a net it is for people to potentially run into and check out your other videos (in which case, they would end up seeing that your new videos are even better, which honestly, might make them even more inclined to subscribe). Creative people are never satisfied with their work, but just make sure you aren't causing yourself more damage than good in the sake of "quality". Steve Jobs was famous for his quote "Real artists ship," meaning that true artisty actually goes out into the real world for people to enjoy, not stays hidden away in hope of reaching perfection. Good luck though. I'm sure whatever you choose will be the right decision for you!

You should never have deleted your videos.
What you should have done, in my opinion, was to create your new content. Once you had a couple of videos with your new content up, then you could remove your old ones if you still wanted to. That way your channel does not stay empty at all and people have a natural transition to your new format, without you having to ask subscribers not to unsubscribe (which probably won't have any impact on their decision anyway).

I have videos in my channel I do not like. My very first videos have poor quality video and audio, but I still won't delete them as they still get me views and new subscribers. They are sitting on hundreds of thousands of views, and although they are not in line with my more professional channel, recorded with new equipment, they do no harm staying put, and help my channel along by still generating views etc.

Having older videos on your channel isn't always such a bad thing. They can show viewers how your channel has progressed, and give them an idea of how you are continuing to progress - and if they like the direction you are taking they'll stick with you.
