Hey Dan take your time! There's nothing more important than you being happy :)
I'll bet no subscriber wanna see you depressed while trying to make videos how you used to make it!
Keep that in mind and do what you feel like :D

Take a break until you're mind is back in the right place. I just got off a 3 week break where I didn't post or even speak to any one in my community. I needed it to keep my sanity. While my views did drop, and my subs per day dipped a bit, it wasn't a drastic hit by any means.

I posted my first video in almost a month, and honestly I think I couldn't have come up with a better strategy. Now I did basically go MIA with no word after being a 4-7 a week video producer, and all the speculation lead to quite a bit of hype today. I didn't plan it, but I'll take. It's following a rule I have voiced to my audience a few times. I will not post unless I feel I am capable of posting good content.

After killing myself with weeks working up to 120 hours with a job and YouTube, I just hit a wall. After taking a break, and working today, I feel amazing. I am back to making videos because I love to make videos. I'm getting paid to have fun basically. While I could be wrong in the results this break and resurgence brings about, there was no other option for me.

Best of luck, and I hope you come back and do what you love again with a new passion and vision for your channel as I feel that I am doing now.
 
If your not enjoying recording and what not, then don't feel forced to :) Better to make videos that you want to make, rather than pushing them out of the door with little interest in what you are doing. Sometimes a break is good, get's you thinking on future projects if you return :)
