Custom Thumbnails

Idiocracy

Hey YTTalk!

I realize that my question may be out of date, but YouTube took down the "upload thumbnail" option with the recent update. Is there any way to work around this or be able to manually add a custom thumbnail to my videos without literally putting the picture in the video itself?

Thank you for any help :)

That's unusual. They are working for me. Have you disabled monetisation at all?

Have you had any copyright strikes or content claims recently?

My account is crystal clear, no copyright infringement or content claims. I don't remember seeing this option on my channel at all after it was monetized. I only heard about it from the YouTube creator's manual.

So weird! If you are able to take screenshots could you show your settings page on the featured tab? If not no worries :)

Hold on, my account is not eligible for custom thumbnails. Maybe it has to do with how old the channel is, its only 2 days old. :( Thank you for your help though. :)

Ohhh that explains it! You need 30 days of good standing and monetisation :) that makes much more sense now hehe.
