Cross Dissolve at Start and End of Videos - Yes or No?

I love cross dissolve, I dont really care what other people think of it as long as i enjoy how it looks
Theres a huge difference between cross dissolves and star wipes and the likes, and using ever different transition you can to me thats when things start to look messy and sloppy which i dont really like

If the video is right for a transition like that you might use it at the end of the video. Because at the beginning of the video you want to grab people's attention.

Cross Dissolve is the only transition I have used. I haven't been brave enough to use pushes, slides, star wipes etc.
