Creating a view counter effect in video

Does anyone know how I can make a view counter in premiere so that the number rises rapidly through the clip

Here is an example

At 5:57 I want to basically replicate the youtuber counter in this video[DOUBLEPOST=1404823593,1404823400][/DOUBLEPOST]Also I am editing in Premiere

You could do it keyframe-by-keyframe :D
1 - wait a second - change to 2 - wait a second - change to 3 :p

That's my only idea :speechless2::whistling2:

I was kinda hoping I wouldn't have to manually do it per frame etc etc

If that's the only way I can do it I will probably just change the clip just because I dont think its worth editing numbers every frame for a 15 second clip xD

You can try using the timecode feature. I advise creating an adjustment layer and placing it on your timeline above the section you want to have the counter. Change opacity to 0% to get rid of the tinted background, where it says field symbol untick the box to remove the big dot, change format to frames, for timecode source you will have to play with it and fiddle around to your liking generally it should auto count each frame but you might need to change this to aid the number changes, like how their counter hit 301 then all of a sudden hit 1mil+ lol I like that little attention to detail. That should do the trick, you can then change the position as well via the timecode settings. The reason I say put it on an adjustment layer is if incase you want to try and manipulate the text colour which I'm not fully sure how to do, if not you can just apply the timecode directly to the clip you want the counter to show up on. You MAY need to nest it as well for further stuff but from there you can google any extra stuff you might want to do to the timecode. My knowledge of it is fairly basic.

Yea I was playing around with the time code feature but I just couldn't get it to look How I wanted it to. I'm pretty sure they manually did it in the example video, if I had the time I would do that aswell but it's just not worth it

Possibly, if they did they're nuts lol, the only other way you can do it in a more customised fashion without going the manual route is via After Effects, it has inbuilt plugins that allow you to manipulate text in many ways. It's 1 of the things I wished Premiere Pro had, even just a simple inbuilt counter plugin for text so that you could at least use your own font and colours.

I do have after effects but I've done the video differently now XD I would manually so it if it was for a video with a higher production value, but this is just a video to fill gaps between the other content I'm doing.
