Hi guys,
I have a channel with some tutorials. I would like to make money on them, if I will public these videos on my website and I allow the visualization for a fee, am I violating the youtube's terms of service?
I'm not sure about whether it does or not. If I was to guess, I would say it was against the terms and guidelines, due to the fact that YouTube offer "Paid subscriptions" to channels with more than 10,000 subscribers.
However, if you are serious about your channel, then Vimeo offer an alternative service in Vimeo Pro. They allow you to sell "videos on demand" so in essence, they are renting your videos for a few days. This is just one of the many features Vimeo offers.
It does cost $199 dollars (or if you're in the UK, approx. £119) a year, but with additional advertising on your website, you could easily make this money back with your tutorials.
I know this is a YouTube forum, but I honestly think that Vimeo would be the best solution for your query
