Hiya guys,
*Note: This is for people who have a way to actually help a channel with remonetization that has reapplied and is beyond the ~month waiting period. -- I do not wish to waste anyone's time who have no contact/ties etc in anyway. Thanks*
I have a channel that is ~2600 Subscribers (growing at 200-300/month) - With ~500,000 Watch minutes in last 28 days. [To give idea of relative popularity of channel]
It received no strikes community or otherwise since its inception in Dec. of 2016 - until early this summer - Where it received 2 Copyright strikes within 2 weeks. (Both I had permission but I couldn't figure out how to possibly prove my case to youtube.. )... So, I knew 1 more strike = Banned for life and I CHANGED everything.
I removed every video from public consumption/view. All 150-200 ish videos were marked Private (In hindsight , due to ignorance, I should have deleted them instead. Private videos can't help you, but they sure can HURT you.)
Now I took a week or so and thought.. I thought about how to transform how I did things. How to make entirely unique material that was just me, and my brain writing and turning those sports articles, opinions of mine , analysis, and so on -- Into videos people would watch.
I then started this new manner of video production (is a painstakingly long process) -but much to my delight the videos received great viewership, good response, and my channel started growing like never before (I've more than doubled subs since that happened). Yay!
So in hindsight those strikes were a huge gift to me.. but.. as I foreshadowed:
I had all the OLD stuff privated. While, again,.. I had permission (ie: Verbal "sure go ahead.. if it's just for youtube kind of "permission" that's basically worthless) -- These videos were local press conferences of head coaches and similar style. I didn't do MUCH 'unique' -- But I thought, hey they're private, no one can see/view them anymore - So no more problems.
WRONG!
Fast forward a a little bit.. from Early summer of 2018 to August of 2018 and BAM!
I receive an email: Your channel is no longer eligible for monetization due to Duplication. But don't worry (insert cleanup hints/help etc) and then you can reapply in 30 days for remonetization. I quickly went to the internet and the information was sparse and unclear. But.. first thing I did upon that email was figure out:
My PRIVATED content = Reason for Duplication flag. They didn't want 18 people posting their footage of a head coach.. it's not NEW unique footage. So my private videos caused the demonetization.
I accepted it - and immediately DELETED those privated videos. The few videos remaining from the big change I did earlier in the summer were popular enough to sustain the channel over any requirements.
The channel was growing more than it ever had before at that time.. due to fair, useful, original videos but a dumb mistake cost me (literally).
I clicked the REAPPLY button 40+ days ago, so it's been 70+ days since the original Email.
The catch, and reason my channel isn't listed here right now - is because I have some quite serious medical issues going on that literally make a Remonetization 'time sensitive' for me. I also truthfully relied on that channels growing income for some medical related reasons as well.
With that in mind - I thought, perhaps, someone existed out there that could help someone in a bind like myself,.. with getting the 'legit' channel remonetized and quite literally making a Significant difference in my Life.
