Could the integration actually help?

Maybe this is exactly what google intended from the integration, but if you started actively using google+ and started friending people similarly to the "friendbuilders" of facebook, could that actually help you grow your channel and be a good resource for it?
 
Of course. It's a place for people to see when you've uploaded a video. Plus when you leave comments (If share to Google+ is checked), it will post on your G+ profile. When people comment on your videos, it gets shared to their profile. Anyone following these people see the video in their feed.
 
I don't know about Friendbuilders/Facebook but yes, G+ activities would expose your videos to an audience that you didn't reach before as long as users have their permission set to 'share' on G+.
 
It's being helpful honestly o.o but they have to fix the comment section so it doesn't get so much spam.
 
Yes it will help and it has been helping people already. What you wrote in your first post right there is exactly what Google intended to do with the YouTube/Google+ integration.
