Corrupt MP4 files!?

Hey everyone. Could use some help resolving an issue. Just finished recording a lets play using our happauage hd pvr. When I went back to look at the footage I saw that one of the clips wouldn't play. This has happened before when the capture card crashed while recording but it didn't crash. The only thing I can think of is that while transferring from my external harddrive to my computer my friend hit a wire and unplugged the harddrive mid tranfer. I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix corrupt MP4 files so I get my footage back. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Try converting the file, sometimes conversions will fix corrupt files.

Also try playing it in VLC. if it plays in vlc than you are fine, if it doesn't then it is broken.
Do you still have the file on your Harddrive? Maybe you can retransfer it.

Conversion software doesn't even let the file into the program. VLC does not play it and it seems to be corrupt on the original harddrive as well :/
