So hey guys.
So we're not able to make a video with a copyrighted song on it and monetize it.
Does this mean, we're allowed to use the song on our video ( as background ) and not monetize it?


Oh and are we allowed to use and monetizeInstrumentals created by other people?
Or Guitar, piano covers of a copyrighted song?

To question one: If it's still up and it didn't get blocked then you're fine, just be careful next time with using music.

To question two: Depends if the producer or record company says so, if not stated otherwise you can't use other people's music.

If you make the cover with your own instruments and you don't change the lyrics or alter the melody that much then you can monetize the cover assuming Youtube detects your cover and tells you you can monetize it.
