Copyrighted Music?

Sometimes, when I make a video and I include copyrighted music, YouTube will send me a warning. But how come I see some big name YouTubers who have copyrighted music in their videos and they don't get a warning? How do I make a video with copyrighted music without getting a warning from YouTube?

Some youtubers have the right to use certain music, and quite a lot of it is royalty free too :)

Also, moved this to the copyright section :)

Well also larger youtubers have larger cushions. Sometimes networks will take the fall for them or youtube will just let it slide or because everyone knows them the company doesn't care I mean, Justin Beiber can break the law repeatedly and not face the same consequences you or I would too, fame is a cushion for getting away with crap.

Aw, man, that really sucks

Yeah that would be because it's illegal to use copyrighted material without permission (often/always have to be written).

Most likely because they have said written permission from the copyright holder.

How do I make a video with copyrighted music without getting a warning from YouTube?

By getting written permission from the copyright holder.

Hope this cuts it out and helps you understand copyright a bit better :)

Yes that did help, thanks, but how do I get written permission from say, a song by Maroon 5 and if I do get written permission, how do I include it in the video so I don't get a copyright warning?

Well you need to find out who holds the copyright, that's most likely the record company, so it won't help writing to the artist. The chances of you getting a written permission (especially free) is pretty small (non-existing really). But you could always try to find out what their label is and send them an email. The worst that can happen is that they say (as the likely might) no, and you're in completely the same situation as before. So there is pretty much no downside to ask.
