Hello,

I would like to make a Battlefield montage and use the Battlefield soundtrack.

It may be game music, but I wonder if I can use it in a monetized video..

Specifically:
- /watch?v=iRN62IebC04 Battlefield 3 Main Theme
- /watch?v=7ioZa2F4YJY Battlefield 4 OST - Cyclone 2

Thanks for your help :)

Well I think the answer is simple , its exactly the same answer to this question :

Did you make soundtrack for Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 OST - Cyclone 2 ?

No.....normally games allow you to monetize game-play content....but some of the developers specially advise you to mute the music.....because they have given permission to use the game-play only.....and the music used is copyrighted separately......
the game publisher usuually allows monetize the gameplay.......(you should check it on their website for that).....but the music is not normally their property .....

So i would recommend you not to use the ingame music......try to get royalty-free music.............

Actually Battlefield i property of EA........so as much as i know.......EA allows monetization of their games......

But the in-game music,.....you should avoid...

I was actually trying to teach him this using simple example :) but now he can just read your answer.Quick summary: Music and game-play are two different things, you don't game music rights if you buy the game.

You will be able to publish your work, but you won't be able to monetize it with BF original soundtrack in it.
