Copyright strike retracted - video still offline

Hello everyone, I hope someone can help me, this is rather urgent.

Today, I have received a copyright strike for one of my videos and it was taken down.
That video was my total viral breakthrough, it was posted in articles all over the world not long ago.

I contacted the copyright holder and he acknowledged to take it back, so he retracted the strike. He has put in everything that's needed in the text and sent it from the same email he filed the strike from.

But the video is not going up. I have read in the forum that it can take a week or even a month until youtube puts the video back online. That would be a total desaster. tens-of-thousands of people from all over the world streaming on that video each hour.

My question: Is there ANY way to speed up the process. Like for instance:
If I submit a counter-notification and write that the other user has taken back the strike, will that reinstate my video?
And do I have the right to that? Or will that violate any terms and put my account in even worse standing?

This is a nightmare. Really looking forward to your help.

Hey, I'm not too sure if theres a way of speeding up the process, sadly. If you really want to, you could contact YouTube to see where it is in the queue. They must get hundreds or even thousands or even more copyright strikes to deal with a day. Many people use copyrighted music in their videos, and most people may try to pose an argument against the strike.
I think they can re-instate your video if you can prove you have rights to use the content, such as the letter you described- it may take some time to be processed though.

Thanks,

So, where and how can I contact youtube? It's kinda convoluted...

I tried the customer service line but that one is only a machine that tells me "visit google.com/support" no matter what options I choose.

And yes, as I've said. The owner who filed the original strike has already sent a message to youtube to retract the strike.

Google, Contact YouTube. The first link might help.
Other than that, I'm not too sure. If it says it'll take a week to be re-uploaded, then that's how long it will take probobly... Sorry!

Okay, I've contacted copyright@youtube.com - I hope this helps in any way.

A counter-notification will not get my video instantly back online, will it?
Am I even inclined to do a counter-notification without violating any rules? It's so hard to grasp.

Sorry about all the trouble you are having with your video...

But I just need to say, I LOVE YOUR AVATAR...Hehe :)

Well, that helps a little. I cut my hair especially for this forum. Glad you like it.

And yeah, it's a total clusterf*** right now. I really don't know what to do. It's just destroying so much momentum and traffic and reputation - just because of a little misunderstanding. I don't know how to sleep now.
Sorry - this forum is not supposed to by me shrink.
