Copyright strike need help!

Hello everyone :) I have a question for ya!

A youtube user collected car crash videos from around the web ( He does not own or hold any copyright over any of the videos)

Anyhow I liked his video so I downloaded it, I remixed it and Shuffled all the videos around. So nothing was in the same order, I also put my logo over top of his ( I know this sounds like hijacking :S ) ......but he doesn't own any copyright to any of the videos.....he's someone who is milking youtube with other peoples car crash videos. So how is he able to put a copyright strike against me? when I remixed it and he doesn't own anything legally ? First thing I would say that never use anyone's video without their permission!
Second thing how are you so sure that he is not holding any copyright?
Thirdly, you can dispute it anyway but the copyright holder has the right to take down ur video or block in some country!
 
That's true I thought I would ask for opinions! :) that guy clearly steals everyones videos to make $$$!!! Which is wrong, I didn't monitize the video on my channel. I only remixed it cause I liked it :) oh well :s I know better now!

if he is stealing the videos, report him :)

Yes, that guy might be stealing others before you did so report him first so you'll not get into trouble! :)

Copyright is more than just for making money. It's also about controlling your own art or speech. It doesn't matter if you monetize your video or not. You're still infringing on the original owners of the video by remixing. It doesn't matter if you got the content from a third party. You're just as bad as the guy you claim stole the videos. Look at it this way, by posting those crash videos (even un-monetized), you are taking away views from the original owners which takes money out of their pockets.

You probably need to be reported just as much as the other guy.
