A copyright strike is nothing like a warning, it's a punishment. It disables monetization for 6 months and the network will be required to terminate the partnership by YouTbe.

No. A copyright strike does not disable monetization on the first strike (at least not when you're in a network). It removes features such as scheduled uploads, live streaming, etc.
The network is not required by YouTube to terminate its agreement with the partner. One of our partners received a strike, which we managed to get lifted in the end, but at no given time was monetization disabled nor did we get an email from YouTube.

Youtube really tends to hate people that get copyright strikes, but they can't tell if some of they are legitimate or not. Good to have proof so they can back down afterwards.
