Copyright Music?

Hola YouTubers!

So I've been away travelling and I wanted to make a travelling video.
I have seen some people uploading travel videos with really good music, and they credit the music in the description box.
I was thinking to do the same thing, but can I monetise the videos // get a copyright thing even after crediting the artist?

How am I supposed to know I can use their music (especially famous people in Soundcloud // big YouTube music channels like TheSoundYouNeed)

Anyways. Sorry for my Spanglish, my brain isn't working cause I just reached back home but I had to start editing from tomorrow haha :p

Thank you for taking your time reading this!

If you use anything that's copyrighted they can have you for it, especially if you monetize it. I personally would get some music that is under a license where you can use it for profit. I think YouTube has some famous songs you can add on the video editor anyway?

Hmm, I was thinking to use this song http(dot)//bit(dot)ly/1NZRw7X
I found out the song from a famous YouTuber who has 430K subscribers - so I'm sure she wouldn't want it to be copyrighted and get all the money she's making for the artist (maybe she could though?)

So she just credited like this:
_________________________________________________
MUSIC
http(dot)//bit(dot)ly/1NZRw7X
_________________________________________________

If I do the same in my next video, would I get a copyright notice // can't get money from it?

The link she put is in bit.ly (but I wanted to share the soundcloud link but it's too long - and I know it's a colon after the http but yttalk system doesn't let me edit it for some reason lol)

Edit: This is an edit of a previous post - just ignore it

I can't say for sure if you'll get a strike, but legally if you use something that's copyrighted they can take it down or give you a strike. I monetized a copyrighted clip when I first started my channel and got a six month copyright strike, not worth it for a few pence. With that song If sharkudi has paid for the sample from whoever owns Bing Crosby's rights (which I don't think they have from their disclaimer) it would have been ok. Basically use at your own risk dude!

Okay cool thank you so much :)

There's about a hundred thousand artists who are willing to let you use their music in exchange for credit in descriptions.

You can either find an artist who has his content listed as copyright free, or with attribution.
OR, you can find an artist and ask them personally if you would be able to use it. If they say yes, congrats you now have a license to use their music. (A good rule of thumb, save those messages in case one day in the future they decide to copyright their library, you'll still be able to show you were given a license to use it.)
