Copyright music from toys

Posting Mad!
Hi! Some toys that we unbox have copyright music play when you press a button. For example frozen dolls could play "let it go" when press on the hand. Will you get a copyright strike for that for showcasing what the toy can do? Or is it better to just mute that part? Thanks!

That's funny right before I saw this post I hit play on my twerking panda I got the other day... I plan on doing a video with it and not using the music that plays because of the copyright issue. I'm not exactly sure how it would work, but I'll be safe

That is funny! Okay thanks I'll just be sure and mute it! Don't wanna take any chances!

Maybe you could put a colourful graphic on the screen (just for a few seconds) when the music should start playing to indicate that a particular song is now playing and maybe even mention it in the commentary.

Great idea!! I will try that! Thanks! :)

Heres a relevant article on a recent court case that addresses a similar matter. But to be safe its probably better to avoid any copyright isses. Yttalk is not letting me post links but heres a good article. (I put some spaces in the url to get it to post. Maybe you can google it).

I had a video where i used a black eyed peas song with my son dancing. It was just a dance video for fun. I made sure i turned off the monetizing so it was not for commercial purposes. But youtube eventually got a complaint and they stripped all of the audio from my video. Which sucked because in editing i matched his dance moves to the song.

I think you should be able to play a small sample of the toys song under fair use. But the risk is probably not worth it.

I doubt you'll get a copyright strike, maybe a Content ID claim if they manually find it. I would still try and edit it out of the video though because it could cause problem.

Awesome channel by the way, looks like you're pulling in some crazy numbers.
