Copyright, Monetization and Video Game

Hi.
So, I'm just starting in creating a video game website featuring youtube videos, and I learned about all the copyright parts and Youtube policies. Let's deal with this quickly :

The facts :
-It will mainly be a passionate tribute website to video game, contributing in making them recognized as art. It will mainly feature posts, related texts I write and written facts. It will possibly deal with most of the video games existing from the NES to nowadays.
-I'm looking to make the site useful (putting my completionist knowledge into it), and create some rankings also.
-I will be trying to increase the developers revenues when possible by interesting visitors, redirecting the visitors to their store or Amazon in specific games pages. The general website policy would be to stay legit, explaining how piracy is not a good way for instance.
-Given the very nature of the website, it must be illustraded (for reviews for instance) with picture, embedded youtube video of video game music, and video of hard or complicated glitch to pull off.
-It will feature a background image from Chrono Trigger; there is no other way to make a decent tribute website without making this kind of games omnipresent

Questions :
Is there something wrong with any of this if I don't use Ad Sense ?
Now, is there anything wrong with any of this if I monetize the website (ads or other means) containing the content ?
Can I allow monetization from copyrighted gameplay footage (no comment) and video game music I would upload, and having this money going directly to the creator ? Can I even upload this under certain situations ?

I learned about the Nintendo Creators Program for instance, not sure what should I do. I know there is a partner program on Youtube also. I did not manage to figure out the link between websites using youtube videos like mine, and Adsense. I just want to create a website, write the needed and consequent amount of text in it and create guides and ranking tools I would make myself, and monetize this content, not monetize the game music or anything else a company has created.

I might not even be on the relevant forum, but I'm doing my best to respect Google, Youtube and the developers policies.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Best Regards.
