Copyright from viacom for spongebob video game

I made a video on spongebob video game which was made by an amateur. Is it forbidden to make a video on a video game like spongebob?
 
The problem here may not be a copyrighted song but a copyrighted cartoon series; i.e. Spongebob Squarepants. If this amateur game developer didn't get permission from Viacom to use Spongebob as a game character, the game's entire existence may be a copyright violation.
 
Could be either of two things

1) The game is a copyright violation (made by someone breaking copyright law since they didn't have permission) and your video suffered because of this.
or
2) The game used assets (music, voice overs, scenes) from the cartoon which is a breach of copyright and detected with YouTube content ID as being the cartoon.
