Copyright dispute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Loving YTtalk
I have a question, I posted up a short film of mine on Youtube and I used my friend's music who gave me permission to use the content. I looked at my video when I woke up (it was uploaded while I was asleep) and I had that copyright issue.:banghead: Since I had permission I doubt my video will be taken down but how long will it take for this copyright issue to be resolved, and can this video be monetized again?:help:

You will most likely receive a response within 30 days of disputing it, otherwise the claim will be removed anyway.

You will be able to monetize it again, once you cleared the copyright issue and you have proved you have full ownership over the video :)

Thanks! Is there away to avoid this next time if I use third party material I own the rights to?

Not really, just make sure you have all the information in the description of who owns the music etc. If possible get your friend to write something just for you saying "I hereby give ___ permission to use my music both commercially and non-commercially etc..".

That way you've always got that guarantee, but otherwise nope as its all automatic I believe. Its only the disputes that are seen by real people I think

I had the exact same issue with my last video.. I even sent youtube the proofs of me owning all the necessary license.. For some reason I uploaded the video again.. That second time, there was no issues! Youtube permitted monetization right away with no claims and stuff..
