controversial topics?

so seeing as we live in the politically correct times where all peoples feelings are protected by an invisible law that popped out of no where, what are your views on topics such as: more then two genders and the trans arguments. ive seen alot of videos on the subject some people saying there are more then two genders and some say there is simply just two

my question would it be bad to cover the topic as a small youtuber given the dislikes could potentially sink a new channel if they viewers dislike it based on opinion presented in the video

If you want to cover that topic go for it mate. The topic will always bring positive and negative responses because everyone has different views on it but I think you should do it :)

I'd say go for it if the subject is what you actually believe. I mean don't just be controversial for the sake of being controversial and views - It will come across as fake and people will see right through it. Be prepared for dislikes and negative comments, but honestly, if you're thin-skinned, don't do it. ^^ Good luck.
 
I vlogged myself the day I voted, and specifically left out who I voted for because I thought it would impact what some people thought of me because as sad as it is to say it really could have influence. Look at how some of casey neistats fans reacted when he mentioned he didn't like trump

Yes sure it is very risky, Ive noticed this issue with politics, technology, relegion and sexuality. If you wanna do it, its good cuz it will get you more engagement then general videos. Because people wanna give their opinions. But if you do it my advice will be, act like a referee, dont choose sides, keep it open, just discuss the topic without giving your own opinion. Make sure the viewers are open for debat among eachother. But you could also go the other way and just give your honest opinion, but if the topic is not in your favor the dislikes will show. For example, I own a GoPro5, wich I am not satisfied with. I wanted to make a video about it, about the downsides of the GoPro5. Man luckily I did some research on other channels first. There are allot of fanboys out there who will destroy your channel with these kind of subjects. If you are bigger you get more voice. But for now, I would say play it neutral.
 
I say it's great to talk about controversial topics. As far as the subject matter on this notion of more than 2 genders. Just go look at that melt 'milo stewart' her channel is dying and she gets a whole tonne of hate because of her videos. I mean she does call all white men racist and misogynistic tgough, and she's generally just a really unpleasant person. I'd say talk about and give your view. It's your channel so just be honest about your views.
 
thank you all for the supportive attitudes. and the projections of what may or may not happen, ive recorded it and im going to sit on it for a while. its the first video ive actually put work into did home work on and really care about but i have come to the conclusion with me being a smaller channel it wouldnt be healthy for me to post yet and start a career on youtube that starts with hate-ish responses i wanna start on a positive note not a subject that could cripple me before i had a chance
