I have been with Fullscreen for a couple of years now my contact ends in July i want to leave this network.I've been thinking over a few things i may want to do after leaving but id like to get the advice from you guys first who may have more experience with networks and or going solo (with google) so what i'm thinking about doing will be in the poll below. if you have any other general thoughts to add besides the poll that would be much appreciated, thank you.

You're not earning enough for it make a difference. Not only that, but you may not qualify for many networks.

Your only goal should be to get eyes on your videos. Until you are consistently getting over a thousand views a day, there's no reason to monetize. The ads may push prospective viewers away.

If you're going to go with a network, it should be for their tools and community. Use them to find out more insights about your videos, create better tags/ descriptions if needed, and so on.

You're videos are well edited and the audio is clear- it's now about finding your market and fan base.

I think you should join smaller networks as your Channel size is small enough.. So you may try Sub Networks which are powered by MCN Freedom! as these Sub Networks can pay some better attention at you..

I checked out your channel and you're editing is great, you have LOTS of videos going which made me question why you don't have a lot of views......The only thing I can think of (correct me if I'm wrong) is that you rely too much on these networks to get views. Your channel has so much potential for growth if u took the time to truly promote your content and that way you don't have to worry about having a network whom have not been that helpful to you in the past.

I have never been with a network. I went to Playlist Live in 2013 and asked everyone that I could talk to at a party if I should join a network with the audience base that I have. Almost all of them told me no. I asked some pretty big name people like Rhett from Rhettandlink, Toby Turner, Wheezy Waiter, Sean Klitzner. I'd go solo. In fact I also talked to the guys from Corridor Digital and they told me that when it is time for a network, you will know it.[DOUBLEPOST=1432922308,1432922236][/DOUBLEPOST]Also, when I talked to Shay about it, he mentioned that networks are mainly good for getting sponsored deals, so you have to have an audience to make it even worthwhile for the network to pitch your channel to brands.

I would completely agree it's more worth it when you have an huge audience for sponsorship. I originally wanted to join a network so I can interact with other youtubers and get advice but this forum is AMAZING and best of all FREE :)

Oh yeah i totally did when i joined up with Fullscreen i thought that if i joined a network id get increased exposure support with improving my videos etc but to be honest within the past year i have rarely logged on to fullscreen but i defiantly do neglect the promotion side i mean i post everything on social media when the video comes out but i dont know other methods without being spammy?[DOUBLEPOST=1432978633,1432978409][/DOUBLEPOST]

Interesting i have a look i've actually been approached by Freedom and a couple of small networks, are you with them did you find any benefits apart from monetary which is pretty much non existent on my channel.[DOUBLEPOST=1432979184][/DOUBLEPOST]

Thank you for the advice i think i am going to take the ads off, i believe you confirmed what i was thinking about already.

i think ill look into smaller no lock in networks try them out for a month or two, poke around in there communities, but to be honest i think this forum has the best community i have come across

The thing with no lock in networks is atleast you have the ability to leave them without any fighting or hassle. Also depending on the channel some might need a network (Such as gaming channels) so they have the rights to upload the video
